Winterbreak: Sheffield

Tamat sudah program Jalinan Ukhwah Musim Sejuk '14 dengan perasmian penutup oleh Pengarah Education Malaysia UK-Ireland. Setelah berkira-kira, maka berangkatlah saya dengan dua orang akhowat untuk berlegar-legar di bandar York. Memandangkan sambutan Christmas makin hampir, ramai la orang berjalan-jalan eh tak, bershopping-shopping.

Tengah-2 window shopping tu, terperasan kat seorang lady duk tengok lain banyak macam.
Bila ditanya,
" I'm just looking at your bag." sambil gelak kecil. What's wrong with it? Cause I brought the paperbag with the " Explorace: Tempat kelima akhowat"

Menangis dalam hati.

Jalan punya jalan, dah tak larat nak jalan, perut pun dah start berbunyi. Okay, here's come the big deal.

Mana nak cari restaurant halal in York? Check google ada tu ada tapi nak jalan tu. Haish. Menguji kesabaran dan ketahanan.

Maka kami pun yeah, redha dan terus berjalan menuju ke train station.
Tengah berjalan, ternampak sign. "Kebab"
Terus melompat kegembiraan.

" Halal tak?" Terus lenyap.
Alhamdulillah, fish chips and a few more menu (basically veggies food la) are halal, so I purchased fish and chips. And mistakenly pouring too much mayones. I'm killing my self. Dahlah nak naik train. Memang sure neroxia nanti.

It's a night before Christmas. Ramai orang berusung nak balik rumah utk sambutan Christmas. Terserempak dengan satu family from Indonesia. Tapi disebabkan kepenatan, tak larat nak bertegur sapa dan kelihatan diaorg pun kepenatan.

Its nice to meet somebody you have been missing.
Kak Dayah and Kak Mirah.
Together with the new friends I meet during my break.

While I was in Sheffield, most of my friends were in London as planned. But Im not really sure why did I purchased the ticket to Sheffield instead of London. Pastu duk merengek kat Kak Dayah sedih bagai.

And He revealed the reason.
Its heavy snow in Sheffield. Dapat main snow and also build the snowman.
Nikmat tu rasa macam sweet yang ter-over-dose.
Snowballs war. dengan kawan-kawan baru.
and the midst of snowing, smells of Nasi Lemak with prawns sambal was totally damn happy?
Kak Dayah even prepared us hot chocolate.

Saranghae Kak Dayah. for all of that. especially for the cheesy roti canai.

I was having fun moments in Sheffield, and will surely come back. It's my 1st Kampung in Europe then.

What's special in Sheffield?

Not so sure. Meadowhall maybe?
They have luxurious Thais food over there.
A must-eat-dishes will be their somtam and seafood salad. Refreshing.
plus the fact that its Thai peeps making them.

I should go back for the somtam and seafood salad.

There're a lot of Malaysian over there and a lot of Halal food available. (Rasanya)
